The Clinical Policies Committee is a 29-member committee consisting of 27 emergency physicians, an emergency nurse, and an advocate for patient safety. The objective of the Clinical Policies Committee is to provide evidence-based clinical practice recommendations on topics important to emergency medicine and ACEP membership. ACEP clinical policies are developed in accordance with accepted guideline development standards and all practice recommendations are informed by a systematic review and critical appraisal of the available medical literature.
The ACEP Clinical Policies Committee is committed to being representative of the diverse attributes, backgrounds, and cultures of our membership.
